I took a ride out to just outside Masham in North Yorkshire to have the first fly on the year on Saturday 25th February 2023. There were a couple of wet squalls that blew through but that didn’t put pay to a relaxing afternoon’s flying including Sophie the Giraffe made by the Gonzalez Brothers which was the first time out of the bag in over 10 years. We must really fly some of these gems more often. I even had a sighting from a local barn owl plus a visit from Alan and Becky Poxon which was a super way to finish the day.
