The Bridlington Kite Festival was held on Sewerby Fields, Bridlington on 11th/12th September 2021. Pushed back from its usual May slot due to Covid saw us all head to the East Coast of Yorkshire. It’s a festival that has a history of some fliers getting up at silly o’clock to take up prime position and this year was no exception. This meant we were squeezed in near “that tree” on the Saturday so had an awful time of it which was frustrating given the lack of flying from those early starters. Enough said so if you can’t beat them join them and we moved our car relatively early the following morning. With the wind coming over the trees it wasn’t ideal but we did get more flying done on day two.
