The Bridlington Kite Festival was held on Sewerby Fields, Bridlington on 6th/7th May 2017. This was the second year the kite festival has been held and I believe it’ll be on again next year as well. On the Saturday it was grey and dull with a swirling wind, saying that though we did have an enjoyable day flying. Sunday was a lot more testing with strong winds gusting upto about 30mph. We started off flying our Martin Lester Evil Spirit which coped well in the conditions. We didn’t manage to venture far from our kites due to the strong winds so most of the pics are of our and our neighbours kites. It was great to catch up with many of our kiting friends and to meet some of our Facebook friends for the first time. Thanks also to Craig Harby for introducing us to gin ice popsicles, they were delicious!
