The Fylde Kite Festival took place at St Annes on 21st/22nd June 2003. Another great festival organised by the Flying Circus. Not much wind on the Saturday but plenty on Sunday. I even had the experience of lying on Andrew Beattie’s Manta Ray to stop it taking off after an impromptu grounding. A great time was had by all. The North East Kite Flyers were there in numbers with other guests including the Robertshaws and George Webster. Thomas had a great time entering a sprint competition for the first time using the teddy bear kite he bought at the auction on the Saturday evening (see below).
