The Cleethorpes International Kite Festival took place at Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire on 18/19th May 2002. This was our second visit to Cleethorpes but this time we were there for the full two days. The big disadvantage with Cleethorpes is the narrowness of the beach (unless you want to stride or squelch onto the mud flaps. That said it’s a really good festival and well organised. I got to do some night flying for the first time. One bit of advice is secure the batteries well because they’re a bugger to find buried in the sand at night.
