The Filey Kite Festival was held on the Brigg, Filey on 17th/18th September 2022. Due to work commitments we had to change our plans a few weeks before. This meant not taking the caravan but setting off from home early on the Saturday and staying over at a pub/hotel just outside the town. We had a lovely stay and the food was great. However this wouldn’t be how we could describe the flying conditions. On both days we had very strong winds coming over the trees which made for turbulent times. Everybody was in the same boat and a number of coming together of kites and lines happened across the flying field throughout the two days. All things considered a decent display was put on and hopefully we’ll be back next year.
