The Sunderland International Friendship Festival was held on 5th/6th July 2008. Saturday was dry until early afternoon with Sunday being mainly dry with occasional showers and even the sun came out at one point. Pauline and her team at Infinite Arts did a great job organising the event which we thoroughly enjoyed. Saturday evening’s gathering was a great success with activities such as creating friendship banners going down really well. The selection of artistic kites from mainland Europe was incredible. A very friendly event living up to its name.
