The Leominster and Hereford Kite Festival took place at Berrington Hall on 8th/9th July 2023. Organised by Bill Souten on behalf of the Midlands Kite Fliers, the event has everything you need in a festival. Many varieties of kites were on display including on Sunday those purchased during the Saturday evening auction. We again had a super tasty pre-auction curry which was enjoyed by all the kite flyers. Unlike the really light winds of the 2022 event, winds were certainly stronger this year but that also brought the thunderstorms both afternoons late on so not so much flying time was lost. We’ve got next year’s dates already so we’ll be back flying at this great National Trust property.
