The World Mental Health Day Kite Festival took place at Pontefract Racecourse on 9th October 2011 and was organised by the Faceless Co. It was also the One Sky One World fly-in for the Northern Kite Group. Unfortunately conditions were terrible. Extreme winds and rain most of the time meant not many kites took to the air and a few that did found themselves in football nets, trees and the lake.
