The Catch the Wind Festival was held in Morecambe on 29th and 30th June 2019 with the kite flying organised by Dave Holt. The weekend’s flying started with a very light breeze (if anything) and then ended up in winds so strong we got asked to bring the kites down an hour before the end of the event. We certainly got sand blasted on the Sunday due to the high winds so much so everybody had to keep the size of kites down to a minimum. Saturday had a good selection of kites flown though. Once again Morecambe proved to be really enjoyable made even better by some great company staying at the hotel we were in.
