The Bedford International Kite Festival took place in Russell Park, Bedford on 10th and 11th June 2017. We always look forward to this festival as it gives us a chance to leave the inflatable kites at home and fly our ‘stick’ kites instead. It was also great to meet up with so many of our international kite flying friends as well as many of those from nearer home. The sun shone for the weekend and though the wind was ‘swirly’ the flyers still put on a fantastic display. One of the highlights for me was seeing so many George Peters kites up in the air together. It was also a lovely surprise to see Jan and Jolanda there convalescing and flying the odd kite too (sitting down of course!!).
