This festival took place on the North Lawn of Harewood House in Yorkshire on 21st/22nd May 2011. Last year saw light winds. This year was the complete opposite. The winds caused many problems on the Saturday including an encounter between Andrew Beattie’s Manta and a tree which he luckily recovered although wasn’t as fortunate with his pilot kites the next morning. Sunday saw very few kites flown due to the extreme wind conditions.
