Organised by Midland Kite Fliers this Festival takes place at Beverley Racecourse in May 2001. This was the first festival we’d been to other than Fylde. Organised by Midlands Kite Flyers, the Kite festival was held at the Racecourse in conjunction with other stalls and exhibits. We only went for the day but it became an expensive one having seen people camping there. We thought this seemed a great idea and promptly went out and bought a tent (and since a caravan). At the time my focus was on flying my Flexifoil ProTeam 8 and found the grass a bit too long for solo launches in little wind. Never mind I got a go on a stack of five 6’ Flexis.
